Pink Floyd March 17, 1977 Empire Pool, Wembley, London, England
JFE remaster May 24, 2009
source: ? > CDR > SHN No tech info with source, only titles and this: "Terrible Soundquality. Completists Only." "Roger shouts "22" on Pigs." Files are labeled "pf1977-03-17 d1t01", etc.
A very poor recording and transfer. It looks like the high frequencies were rolled off above 7k maybe as a crude way to reduce tape hiss. Tape speed and record levels are all over the place. Channels are out of phase by varying degrees. From mid-Sheep thru most of Pigs(TDO) something happened... I'm picturing a recording device being stashed in a coat for this period. The CD included SOYCD(6-9) & U&T from March 18, 1977 as filler.
sound quality: "What the hell is that noise?"
remaster: ? > CDR > SHN > WAV > ProTools HD > WAV > FLAC Corrected phase problems. Corrected pitch/speed with Serato and adjusted for fluctuating record levels on original. This is a quick remaster with the goal of making this poor quality and poorly documented source listenable. There are still many flaws. sound quality: D
Please keep this version free of any lossy compression, as this incurs quality loss regardless of the source quality. Not for sale - free trade only.
